CHIKUNGUNYA
Chikungunya is a
kind of viral fever caused by alphavirus that is spread by mosquito bites from
the aedes aegypti type. Its name comes from a word in yhe Makonde language
meaning “curved up” , referring to the body that bends due to the symptoms-
symptoms of arthritis disease.
Symptoms
In general fever
in children only lasts for 3 days, redness, red rash that appears after 3-5
days. Eye is usually red. In older children, fever is usually followed by pain
in muscles and joints, and is enlarged lymph nodes.In adults, symptoms of joint
and muscle pain is very dominant and to cause temporary paralysis due to pain
when walking. Sometimes arise nausea to vomiting.

This virus is transferred from one patient to another person
via mosquitoes, such as Aedes aegypti. virus transmitted by the Aedes aegypti
mosquito will breed in the human body. virus attacks all ages, both children
and adults in endemic areas. Patient will experience sudden high fever for five
days, so it is also known the term fever five days.
