THE LEGEND OF BROKEN STONE

            Once upon a time, there lived an old widow in Angling Village. Her name is Nyi Dayang. She lived alone because she didn’t have husband and child anymore. She is very lonely, her neighbor’s houses are very far from her house. Every morning she goes to the river to wash clothes. When she was washing her shawl at the river, she is dreamily, she thought her life would be very happy if there is a child live with her, but it was impossible. Because she is dreamily, shawl that she was washing float.She ran from the riverside to catch the cloth, the cloth was stopped at the outskirts of the nearby river that beside the river there is a large stone that she had never seen before. Then suddenly a roar came, the stone vibrated and shocks occured, so Nyi Dayang fell down, the rock split slowly and appeared a crying boy baby from that stone.
Nyi dayang was shocked, she directly hold the baby and the baby stopped crying , she took home the baby and take care of him, she gave him a name, that is ADIKUSUMO. Nyi Dayang were not lonely anymore and she was very happy.When Adikusumo was 20 years old, Nyi dayang told Adikusumo that he was born from the broken stone. Adikusumo very thankful to Nyi Dayang because she had take care of him until he became an adult. He became kind, strong, and brave man. Because of his goodness, valor, and bravery, He is trusted to lead Angling village and rename the angling village became Watu Belah.
