The Legend of Plangon

In earlier times there was a village called village Plangon. In that village lived an old woman who lived in the old house. grandmother was named Wati, she is a grandmother, ugly and his face looks like a monkey, grandma was always shunned by the citizens and is always excluded.

One day grandmother was about to wati river to wash clothes, while on his way to the river, he met with a lot of kids who are playing. When grandma was walking through the children, suddenly one of the boys mocking wati grandmother. "Look, there's grandma ugly, ugly grandma" finally all the children had come to mock grandmother wati.

Then the old woman had said, "what if you also change like me??", And one of them spoke "oh that's not possible nek, well go all the way there, hahaha". Wati grandmother went on his way to the river to withstand pain. Wati grandmother saw when he got there the girls were washing clothes, when grandma wati want to join, the girls immediately left the grandmother wati.

The next day when grandmother was cleaning her house wati suddenly there was the village chief and local citizens flock to the grandmother's house to evict grandma wati wati, because according to the old woman was a resident evil (witches) and always disturbing local residents. Once upon a time,  there lived a couple who live with household financial problems. the husband often gamble and spend money, but the husband unemployed, and his wife just as domestic workers.
             When it's the wife was pregnant 9 months, she began to feel pain in his stomach. She knew that she would soon give birth, but she remembered not have any money so she will not be able to give birth to a midwife, and her husband, too, was not at home.
she finally gave birth to a son without the help of anyone. Not long before her husband came up with drunk and see his wife, who gave birth to her first child.
the husband was thinking "boy would later trouble later". Without thinking of the husband immediately took her son and would throw it into the well is located behind his house.               The mother was shocked and immediately ran to his son, but did not find it. The mother was not discouraged, and every day she waited for an abundance of water in the well until the very end. Of these events formed village named "TUKMUDAL" meaning abundant water wells.

Do you know the origin of the town name cirebon? 

Long ago the city of Cirebon called Saruban which means mixture is said that because people in the city of Cirebon composed of various ethnicities such as Chinese, Javanese, Sundanese ETC and consists of several religions such as Islam, Christian, Jewish, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindu, Confucian, ETC. 

       Cirebon has several times changed its

name from Saruban to Caruban to Carbon and finally to Cirebon.Why renamed Cirebon,

because every afternoon the coastal region of the city of Cirebon visible colored waters - flickering,

which is produced by the reflection of light by shrimp rebon.Udang rebon is a small-sized shrimp, which is now called eby.

                                   And this is called Cirebon.

                                                Now the coast is not as beautiful as before, due to the noodle factory that produces enormous waste, therefore wastes resulting coastal beaches are not beautiful, because shrimp rebon that adorn the beach every afternoon no never mind. Because, carried away by waste.

                                                One day in Cirebon huge problems occur because of the noodle factory that produces waste, residents are not happy with the Cirebon noodle factory, because, according to residents Cirebon plant that produces waste that is destroying the beauty of the beach pesisir.Hari by day it becomes deserted beaches because longer beautiful as ever.

The Legend Cisaat Village

Before the village is named Cisaat village named Parakan keusik. Before Islam entered the Parakan keusik still embrace the Hindu religion. By karnanya Mbah kuwu sangkan sent several people to the population islamize Parakan keusik. However, it is not easy Masul invited the Islamic religion.

Evidently many people Parakan keusik take the fight to reject the religion of Islam. They feel the magic so often fights with Mbah Kuwu Sangkan messenger.
